WE DANCE FOR JESUS
As a praise dancer we are committed to offering our temples as a living sacrifice to prepare an atmosphere of worship to the glory of God. The purpose is to magnify the name of the Lord through dance. The dance ministry members do not “perform,” but are in service to Worship. We should lead people into Worship. Psalms 149:3-4, Let them praise His name with the dance. Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp. For the Lord takes pleasure in His people. He will beautify the humble with Salvation.
The Purpose of Our Dance
To praise the Lord in the dance—Pslams 149:3
To love Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength—Mark 12:30
To make His praise glorious—Exodus 15:20
To rejoice and usher in God’s presence—Psalm 150:4
To express joy and victory—II Samuel 6:14
To willingly present our bodies as living sacrifices to the Lord via the dance—Romans 12:1
Mission
Through our dance and in all we do; we do it for the glory of God. We vow to teach, encourage, and inspire others to worship God through the use of the movement arts. Rather than just learning the dance, as a dancer, I will listen to the Holy Spirit and move as He instructs. Through participation in this ministry, we seek to bring ourselves closer to God through prayer, bible study, fellowship, and discipleship, while creating loving relationships within our ministry. We are not here to entertain – only to minister to others.
