We hear people say they are trying to find themselves or that they lack confidence and identity. I am here to say, that if you know who you are in Christ and what the Word of God says about you, then your identity and purpose becomes clearer and clearer. However, I understand everyone does not have a deep or a basic relationship with God. Nevertheless, you must love yourself and find worth in yourself without validation. Let’s break down some need-to-know terms.

Self-Love is how well you love or treat yourself. Some people categorize it as self-care. Self-esteem is your own opinion or judgement regarding your worth. The higher your esteem, the higher your self-worth (the value and worth you see in yourself) and confidence in yourself. If you have low self-esteem, then the lower your confidence, worth and value in yourself – based on your own assessment.

Please take the Self-Love test by clicking Here. The closer you are to 100% the higher your self-esteem and self-love.  I hope this test puts you a step closer to loving yourself and gaining confidence. I can tell you that self-care, caring about both your mind and body will help you love who you are. Knowing your capabilities and passion and walking in that can help you see where your strengths are so you will less likely feel as though you are a failure. Use the test above as a barometer of where you can work on ways to improve your self-love/self-worth/self-esteem. Lastly, holding fast to your values no matter what comes your way will improve your worth. Sometimes desperation and the need to have a friend or mate pressures people to take less than they deserve or want which sets the tone for your worth or value.
